Perhaps the best known part of Brussels, the Grand Place is where the open markets used to be, and guild houses and adminstration buildings surround it.  Every other year, the center of the square is filled with flowers in ornate designs.  If you look closely at the cobblestones, you'll see white lines that show where the flowers are supposed to go, leaving paths for people to walk.  I've included the Mannekin Pis pictures here as well, because it was fairly close to the Grand Place (just a block or two down).
