A picture of the spire of the Hotel de Ville. This building was built to be Brussels city hall, and it still functions as a civic building (there are now numerous town halls in Brussels). The spire dominates not only the Grand Place, but the rest of the area. If you've looked at some of the pictures from other areas, you can see the spire poking its way above the rest of the skyline.
