And now you see why they didn't tear down that building. The Parliament was built with an attempt to blend in with its surroundings, a little bit. So the Hemicycle building gets its unusual shape form the front of the old Luxembourg Train station facade, which you see standing here. The rest of the new buildings will be built around it. It should be an interesting effect when it's all done.
