Another shot of the VUB buildings.  VUB, short for Vrije Universiteit Brussel is the Flemish speaking University.  Their counterpart is the ULB, or Université Libre de Bruxelles.  Back in the 1960s, when Belgium was undergoing some language riots, the Flemish speakers at the ULB demanded that there be some classes taught in Flemish, as opposed to all French.  The French refused, so the Flemish broke away and founded their own university.  Because they had to build it so quickly, they went for the Soviet style cement/concrete block building style.  It was always a joy to go to this rather dreary campus.
