This is the EU flag flying in front of the Justus Lipsius building. This building held the Council of Ministers for the EU. Which was nice, because whenever all the leaders of the EU would meet, they'd meet here, and security forces would shut off the blocks around it. Which made getting back from work really interesting. You could also tell when something important was going to happen, because all of the television news vans would start parking on the sidewalk around it. The Berlaymont building is behind us, slightly to the right from this perspective.
